Bob Merrigan, FOUNDER
With 35-plus years in marketing communications, Bob brings a well-rounded and well-grounded perspective to planning, implementing and assessing the effectiveness of a promotional effort. Bob launched his career at Hallmark Cards before moving to the agency side where he continued to work with some of the leading marketers in the Midwest (Purina, Elanco Chemicals, Sprint, for example). He established Merrigan & Co. in 1990, and some of the agency’s earliest clients—such as the Veterans of Foreign Wars—continue to work with the firm today. A past president of Kansas City Direct Marketing Association (KCDMA) and American Marketing Association, Bob is also active in the Association of Fundraising Professionals. He was KCDMA’s 2005 “Direct Marketer of the Year” and is a frequent presenter/author on copywriting/direct marketing. He’s active in the community and is past chair of Forks & Corks (10 years) and Chefs Classic, both benefits for Harvesters—The Community Food Network and is past president of the Kansas City Plaza Rotary.
