Making Connections

It was another record-breaking year at the 3rd Annual Convio Users Summit … in terms of attendance as well as the number of Convio clients who are using their applications, the number of constituents being reached and the number of dollars raised (or other actions taken).

Convio is an innovative software/services company that provides marketing, fundraising and advocacy tools for not-for-profits. And they’d be among the first to admit that the key to their success is not simply the availability of those tools, but in their application.

It was a recurring theme across the range of Internet success stories. The more an organization can recognize – and respond to – differences among constituents, the more likely they are to enjoy a successful relationship. But it takes differences that matter … responses that are meaningful … and well-defined, clearly measurable parameters for success.

That’s not software. That’s strategy!
