On January 1, 2019, Shawnee Mission Medical Center became formally known as AdventHealth Shawnee Mission. Though the transition appeared seamless on the outside, thoughtful consideration, preparation and effective collaboration ensued many months in advance to ensure success.
Two people at the center of this transition for the hospital’s Shawnee Mission location were Stephanie O’Sullivan, Director of Corporate and Foundation Giving for AdventHealth Foundation, and Morgan Shandler, Senior PR Strategist.
